Leading drilling and exploration specialist Rosond is pleased to announce the successful completion of its 2024 learnership programme, dedicated to empowering learners. This initiative underscores Rosond’s commitment to inclusivity and skills development within South Africa.
The 2024 programme saw 30 learners embark on a transformative journey, with 15 participants enrolled in project management and 15 in contact centre operations. Structured to provide a holistic learning experience, the programme combined theoretical instruction at accredited training centres with practical workplace exposure, ensuring that participants gained both knowledge and hands-on experience.
“This learnership programme embodies our commitment to fostering an inclusive workforce. By empowering individuals, we not only enhance their skills but also enrich our industry with diverse talents,” comments Freddah Motloung, Employee Relations Officer at Rosond.
Upon successful completion, all learners received SETA-accredited certifications aligned with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), enhancing their employability and readiness to contribute effectively to their respective fields.
“Demonstrating the programme’s impact, several participants secured permanent employment immediately after completion, reflecting the high calibre of training and the dedication of the learners,” adds Motloung.
Building on this success, Rosond is set to onboard 26 new learners for the upcoming financial period. Scheduled to commence in April 2025 and conclude in March 2026, this cohort will continue the legacy of empowerment and skills development.
“Rosond remains steadfast in its mission to foster an inclusive workforce, championing opportunities for all individuals,” concludes Motloung.
