Supply Chain Coordinator
Location: Midrand

As we position ourselves for the future, we are seeking a highly driven and organised Supply Chain Coordinator to support our operations. This role enables the Supply Chain Manager to focus on strategic supplier management, stakeholder engagement, and cost optimisation by taking ownership of day-to-day execution, coordination, and reporting activities
Purpose of the Role
To provide operational and administrative support to the Supply Chain function by coordinating procurement activities, maintaining supplier and BEE compliance records, and ensuring efficient execution of the procure-to-pay process.
Key Responsibilities
1.1 Procurement Coordination
- Execute the end-to-end procurement process (RFQs, quotations, purchase orders)
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations in line with procurement policies
- Coordinate order placement and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Follow up with suppliers on outstanding orders and resolve delivery issues
- Ensure procurement activities align with cost, quality, and operational requirements
1.2 Supplier Administration & Compliance
- Coordinate supplier onboarding, including document collection and vetting
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date supplier database
- Ensure all supplier compliance documentation is valid and audit-ready (tax clearance, BEE certificates, etc.)
- Monitor supplier documentation expiry and proactively follow up.
1.3 BEE & Local Procurement Support
- Capture and track BEE and local procurement spend
- Maintain accurate records to support BEE audits and verification processes
- Support reporting on supplier diversity and local host participation
- Assist in compiling data for enterprise and supplier development reporting
1.4 Reporting & Data Management
- Prepare routine procurement and supply chain reports (spend, supplier performance, BEE tracking)
- Maintain data integrity within ERP systems (e.g., Sage)
- Support the Supply Chain Manager with KPI tracking and reporting packs
- Identify data discrepancies and escalate where necessary
1.5 Contract & Procurement Administration
- Maintain contract registers and ensure proper filing of agreements
- Support contract administration (tracking expiry dates, renewals, compliance)
- Ensure procurement documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
1.6 Inventory & Logistics Coordination
- Support tracking of inventory levels and highlight potential shortages or risks
- Coordinate with sites and internal stakeholders on material requirements
- Assist in ensuring efficient movement of goods and alignment with operational needs.
1.7 Governance, Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
- Maintain proper audit trails for procurement and supplier-related activities
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
- Identify and escalate potential compliance risks

- Strong understanding of procure-to-pay processes

- Analytical and reporting capability
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Basic understanding of BEE and procurement compliance requirements
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Sage) and Microsoft Excel
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 1-2 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain coordination
- Experience in mining, engineering, or multi-site operations advantageous
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage) preferred
- Exposure to BEE compliance and reporting advantageous
